Like the title says ... I completely skipped 4th edition while away at University (for many many years lol) but now that I'm back and settled, I want to start playing again. I have the new rulebook in the mail, on its way, as well as the new Space Marine codex.
I'm wondering now where I can find the most current, legal rules for Space Wolves. I've found FAQs and various articles but I'm not sure which to read ... my entire army is old and I'll most likely update it bit-by-bit, but I'd like to get in a bunker and start playing ASAP.
Any help or info, any word on what to buy and what to wait for ... anything at all will be a great help!
The old codex Space wolves is still going, I personally don't have it but it was the 3rd edition one i'm pretty sure, slim little thing with alot of references to codex space marines, which would mean you need to buy yourself a 5th edition SM codex and build your list around that. The new Space Wolf codex comes out next year, but I would say play now, apparently the mix of the SW and the SM codex is nice. Not sure what you would want to buy though, don't know your existing army sorry!
Move forward and stay quiet brothers.

You can probably pick up a Space Wolves Codex off E-bay if you are diligent, or maybe check some game shops with old inventory. You have the Space Marine codex on it's way, which is good. You will need it as reference. For now the SW and the SM mesh very well and you can make a very nasty, hard-to-beat list. They still get lots of cheap power weapons and power fists and can take squads ranging in size from 3 to 15, depending on the unit. I am building a space wolves army right now. I am in the collecting stage and disassembling some used models I got...
Once a Marine, always a Marine.
