Since in 5th ed u get a cover save if the enemy is firing through his units or your units, does camo cloaks improve that save since it IS a cover save? This would make it a 3+ yeah?
Ok theres is some confusion so i'll make it as clear as possible. Squad 1 shoots through squad 2 at squad 3. squad 3 has camo cloaks, squad 3 gets 3+ cover? ya?

I know not what weapons World War 3 will be fought with. All I know is that World War 4 will be fought with sticks and stones.
Sound right to me, the Camo Cloak improves it by +1 to whatever it is you're at...before counting the cloak.

Until they say no in a FAQ that's how I'd swing it.

Enemy unit firing through other units provides you with a cover save.
Camo cloak improves cover saves.
Thus: Not even an issue!

Also, you should google "garfield minus garfield". Awesome.
This would lead to very odd situations imho.
Squad 1 behind Squad 2 is shooting at Squad 3
Squad 2 has cameleoline, squad 1 and 3 does not.
Squad 1 shooting through Squad 2, will normally grant the enemy a 4+ cover save.
you are stating that since cloaks increase the cover save by 1, that Squad 2 will grant the enemy a 3+ save?
This seems wrong to me, because, cameleoline gives a model a better cover save because it makes it "blend" in better.
So what you are saying is that, since squad 2 is equiped with a cloak/thing that makes them harder to spot at all, this should give the enemy a better save? And vice versa if Squad 3 shoots at Squad 1 then Squad 1 will get a 3+ instead of a 4+ save because squad 2 is harder to spot in the first place?
Not saying that you are wrong, but it just does not seem right
Am I totaly in the dark here?
Valthonis what you said is right at least if you were to put it into a realistic perespective
think about it guys, if there are a bunch of people wearing white uniforms, and then there is a squad that has excellent camo in front of them, should that give the people wearing white better cover?
no at least it shouldn't, the people in the white's only chance is if the squad shooting at them are bad shots, or it hits one of the guys in good camo, so based upon this, I say no, they should not inprove the camoflauge of the enemy squad behind your own men.

Camo in general doesn't actually matter once you start shooting, a silhouette is a silhouette and if you're looking for it, it is easy enough to find. Only truly useful when trying to conduct an ambush.

Seems to me that only the soldiers wearing the camo would get the better save.

If someone shoots *through* a squad that has cameoline at a squad that does *not* have cameoline, then the squad being shot takes a normal 4+ save.
If someone shoots through a squad *at* another squad that has cameoline, then that squad gets a 3+ save.
Only the squad with cameoline gets the +1 cover save.
