K guys quick question here I'm not really clear on when using sniper rifles is it your normal to hit and 4+ to wound or is it 2+ to hit and 4+ to wound?
All Sniper Rifle weapons are also Redning correct? So lower AP on a 6 yeah?
Sniper Rifles were 2+ to hit in the last edition, they now hit on normal BS, with a 4+ to wound, and yes, they rend on a 6, so on BS3 Scouts it will be 4+ followed by a 4+ rending on a 6.
Normal BS to hit? Dang, I've been doing that wrong in 5th then, oops. I have only played against Space Marines, never used them. When it comes to Sniper Rifles, I have Eldar Pathfinders. They're pretty much the same as far as I'm aware though, apart from needing 5+ to get AP1.
thanks alot guys
I've really been thinking about a house rule to do a +1 to BS when firing a sniper rifle, just seems logical. With what it was it was a bit OP cause you could hand a grott a sniper weapon and hit on a 2+, like they know what a scope even is

I pretty sure scouts only have a 3bs. So they would need a 4 to hit. But I am also pretty sure in the 40k rule book, its says snipe 2+ to hit and 4+ to wound regardless of toughness. But i cant be exactly sure since my rule book was lost a week ago.
