Is holocaust used in place of your close combat attacks, or in addition to them? I.E., can I assault with my force weapon at initiative 5 and then use holocaust at the end of the assault?
Holocaust is used at the end of the assault phase, so after and in addition to your attacks.
It's worth a krak!
Also you don't have to be in combat to use it if memory serves me correct so outside combat attacks dont matter so fire away!
I hear and I forget, I see and I remember, I do and I understand
Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm.
Second be careful with the force weapon and holocost. They are both psycic powers so you may use your forceweapon to intstant kill something you may not holocost that turn, but you may make attacks with your forceweapon and the dominate remaining models with Holocost.
As long as you do not use the force weapon aspect of your weapon to slay outright (it is not instand kill) you may use holocaust. So in this way holocaust can be used to make grey knight termies and heroes more effective against hordes, makes them more flexible.
Most amazing Holocaust thread for 5th ed
Not as amazing, but still pretty good holocaust thread.
So in the future, please try to do a decent search before you post questions, answering things that have been answered a million times in the past can get old pretty quickly!
I hope this helps ya!
