I brought this up ages ago and thought I'd pass it by the experts here again. I'm seriously out of the 40K and 5th edition loop. I'm looking to get back into 40K and have a 2000pt pro-painted Tyranid army I'm looking to unload so I can start up a Pure Terminator Army using the Red Scorpion Forge models. I had thought of DW, but from what I've read here so far it's far better to use the new Space Marine codex for an all Terminator/Dread.Vehicle army.
I plan on picking up the codex and am not asking what's in the codex at all. I'm just curious if any one can link a few "New" 5th edition Space Marine Terminator army list. I don't need specific points, but just want to get an idea how what I need to make a solid 1500pt force.
And yes I'm aware of all the tactical difficulties with an army like this, but I love being the underdog hehe .
Thanks so much for the help folks!
usin the new codex you'd only be able to take a maximum of three squads of terminators. so using the space marine army list the most you will get out of it is 30 termies, no commandsquads of them and such anymore, so you'd still have to have your troops choices and things to claim objectives with aswell as elites cant do this anymore.
you could use the deathwing list but use the forgeworld red scorpions modles to represent them im sure no one would mind, being a red scorpion player myself i know that i wouldnt.
Yes you need to get the Dark Angels Codex for the rules on Deathwing, but by all means use the FW models. Deathwing did get a bit of a Nerfing with the new limit on 0-1 Assault Cannons per squad.

With Deathwing you would not have to worry about taking the stock troop choices while using a Codex list you'd have to take some Scouts or Tac Marines, bearing in mind that you'd probably not have many. A sly opponent could chose to target your (few) troop choices and if he wipes them out the best you'd be fighting for would be a draw at that point.
Of course you can always get your stuff, purchase both Codices, and try them both out. In the end I just want some pictures of when you paint them up!
This is what i did....http://www.librarium-online.com/foru...ng-list-2.html but i dont know if it would be to your liking. It is just an example at the moment.
Thanks for your thoughts all! I'll keep ya posted. I'm goign to grab the DA codex this week. I've got a TON of unused items I need to get rid of before I start this project hehe.
