I was wondering if it was fluffy for a Dark Angels army to use excessive amounts of plasma weaponry? I remember reading somewhere that the Dark Angels had large amounts of plasma weapons but I wasn't sure if they favoured this type of weponry.
Also is there anything in the Dark ANgels codex that allows us to take more plasma weaponry than Vanilla Codex Marines. I love plasma weapons and their termie killing properties so if it was fluffly that would be doubly awesome.
Thanks for any help guys.

It is very fluffy to place an emphasis on plasma weapons when playing DA. They have, use and maintain more plasma based weapons that other chapters.
Not sure how the current codex handles this.

The plasma fetish thing is stupid. It was a bone GW threw us back in 3rd in the IA to give the chapter something special and it has thankfully been dropped.
DA aren't plasma freaks.

Though the "Dark Angels Veterans" pack includes a plasma rifle where other Marine boxes don't.
I say go for it if you're a gambler. Imperial Plasma is a bit like activating a mini-Particle-Collider. You never quite know what results you're going to get >_>
Well, fluffy or not the bottom line to me is that Plasma weapons are well worth the risk. Especially attached to the arm of a Dread. I never step onto the field without one
