    Death Korps of Krieg...

Ok...so as of right now I play both Sisters and CSM. Both of my armies are heavy on the mech side of things as I own some ten odd rhino at this point. I have been wanting to build a IG force for a while now and think that IG would be easy to impliment into my sisters list as allies until I can field at least a 1000 point army. I love the models for DKOK and my girlfriend has bought me the Imperial Armour vol.5 and a Comand squad to start out...First off...I know how very expensive it is and do not need to be reminded. I plan to do this slowly and take my time painting them and to buy them in batches as to get the most out of shipping.

My question is...Having a want to build a footslogging, scatter dice rolling army and being new to IG and DKOK, I am in need of advice. I love the Idea of centaurs dragging around quad lauchers and such but have seen little of how effective it is in game play. Does any one know of a list that uses centaurs that I can get ideas from?

This is one of those things that most IG players will have thought of but will never do. It is a cool idea but in game terms it won't work very well. Transporting a Quad launcher IMO isn't very logical. They have a 60inch range maximum. That's damn near the whole board.

Yeah... I was looking through the book and saw that. I really like the Centaur model but am not seeing any real uses for it. Maybe the Grenadier Centaur is worth while but ai have my doubts.

Well there's one way to find out. Use it and see if you like it. See how it preforms and determine whethere it is an awesome piece of equipment or detrimental to your army.

Most of Forge World "support" equipment is designed to be used on the "gym floor" battlefields like the one that was done a few years ago, or just not used at all for anything other than decorative. Of course you could always "counts as" it as a chimera.

Although, I do remember the Thudd Gun from second edition... it was a fun little thing that required a good bit of dice rolling and I don't recall it being all that accurate.

It was actually the opposite of accurate!

Can Centaurs be used as Troop Transports like Chimeras?

I don't believe so, but it looks like an open topped troop transport so if you want the model on the table that's a way to do it.. if you wanna actually use it as it is, I have to ask.. why?
