Ok i played a game last night 998 pt. Witchunters (me) Vs. 1,000 pts of Space Wolves and Blood angels, vs. 1500 pts of Nids.
anyways i was using my zealots (a great unit U hae to try them out) to hold the objective for five turns then the game would end. O yeah we were playing city fight. So my zealots R holding (doing a great job with their 2 heavy stubbers). Well a pesky longfang squad is picking off a few at a time. 2 turns later the zealots R still holding but few in numbers so i reveal by 5 deathcult assasins who infiltrated into the long fangs... the big gun toting space wolves didnt have a chance. In the first salvo of attacks the squad was utterly anihlated!
So death company moves in the the assassins, i take one loss and death company is destroyed (they were already missing a guy) Tyrinids move in i manage to take out one of the hive tyrants bodyguards!
Death Cult assassins R a must have in a witchhunters force give'em a try! They were definantly my MVP.
Private fires lasgun at avatar of Kaine... *rolls* 6.... to wound.... 6.... avatar falls to the ground...
Private: Sir... was that even possible?
Officer: I think i'm going to kill myself now... private, fetch a commisar!
Personally I consider the Death Cult Assasin to be too costly, yes they can do damage but only against heavily armoured opponents and you have to get them into combat first.
And although they may have more than one wound, they are still way too fragile, plus you also need to take an Inquisitor to be able to field them, and I prefer a pure Sisters of Battle force.
