I have 2 ten man tac squads that i want to throw in a transport. Which transport do you guys prefer Rhino or Razorbacks. And which would you suggest for my army??
combat squads and razorbacks
got to love assaulting with the assault weapons and siting back with your heavy
nigh on unbeatable, took out 1500pts of eldar in 2 turns
buy razorbacks but don't glue down the turret so you can swap in out it you want to use a rhino instead to get the best of both worlds

blood angels 5000 pts
imperial guard 500 pts
orks 1000 pts
i used to think razorbacks but i felt i was wasting 4 bolters by sitting back with a heavy. testing \a mix of razors and rhinos right now.
If you intend to combat squad your tac squads then razorbacks will be best. An additional twin linked heavy bolter for 5 points more than a rhino is really great. Plus it lets you get those assualt weapons up close quickly.
If you want to keep your 10 man tac squads together than I would go with the rhino it's cheap and effective.
I personally prefer razorback and with combat squads. Assualt weapons and Sgt go in vechile while the heavy weapons blast from afar.

Regardless of how it performs, I just like the idea of a ten-man Tactical Squad heroically bursting out of a Rhino into the midst of the enemy. The enemy being mown down by a twin-linked heavy bolter first doesn't have the same effect on me.
My experience is that it depends on how many squads you're packing. 2x combat squads isn't much, but 4-5 can be pretty useful. If you're only mounting 1-2 squads I'd go with Rhino's as the combat squads get attrited to easily, but if you have enough ablative wounds, I'd pick the Razorbacks.

Problem with RBack is that you load all those close range (combat) weapons into them and want to get close ASAP so you move 12 and not fire anything on the move - waste. I'd rather take a Rhino and 10 extra Bolter shots with me any day....
Thanks for the advice everyone.
I was a big fan of Razorbacks until I started playing them.
Even with combat squads, I've found out that I really wanted mobility, not firepower. So, most of times, my transport was moving and I was not using the extra weapon.
As a result of that, I now have a single razorback with my command squad, which is guarantee to fit in and my troops got Rhinos.
The difference it made was noticeable. Specially in kill points game, it made a ton of difference, keeping my troops safe longer. All of them, not just 5 men.
Another fact is that now I also started to use those fire point and shoot from them, safe from enemy fire. The storm bolter also provide good extra fire and I also got to repair the Rhino a couple of times, allowing me to contest an objective and actually winning a game that was tied.
So, for less points you got a transport that fit more troops, can repair itself and you don't actually loose fire power that much.'
I'd say, for tactical squads, GO Rhinos!
So far I have not used a razorback and never really wanted to until the latest Codex. Now I think I will buy one that will be given to a command squad and stick my Troops in Rhinos as I have always done
