So what are the rules and restrictions for this. I cant see to find anything in my codex about who or what can be taken. I play mostly GK but would love to get some SOB stuff mixed in with them. What units can I take, what SOB units are good?
I know it's listed in Both Codexes. I think it's page 25 or 26 of WH, and I've seen the exact same rules in the DH codex.
there is also an allies FAQ that the gentlemen here drew up just to answer all of these questions. it's listed in the FAQ and tacticas sticky at the top of the Demonhunters forum.
but here's a link anyhow:
Basically you take one parent list ant can take 1 HQ, 1 Elite, 2 Troops and 1 Fast Attack and 0 Heavy Support choice from the other army.
Because of this reason I usually take a Sisters parent list and ally Grey Knights. I like the Heavy Support choices better for Sisters (Excorcists and Retributer squads.). With Landraiders much better in 5th you could certainly look at doing it the other way.

thanks guys. I just saw that faq. I was also wondering if it is legal in tournies?
The rules for tourney's can vary. You'd best check with the organisers.
