I am, at this time working on some objective markers for my Daughters of the Emperor and would like to know what others have done to perhaps get some ideas. Here are some pics of the first Marker.
I , for the most part used the piece of the girl that comes from the Imolator sprue. The only part that is not a sister bit would be the bolter that I stole off a space marine.
I would like to build at least two more objective markers and have plenty of imolator sprue bits left and would love to get some feedback on this matter.
Wow, that is a great idea! Perhaps we are just boring around here, but I have never seen such a characterful objective marker before.
I have a `Sisters of Battle Shrine' on order, which I plan to use as the basis of a Sisters-themed objective. Not a patch on what you have done, though.
I hadn't thought of doing sisters objective markers. That looks very cool. I had been trying to think of something for faith points. Using dice is okay but they sometimes get giggled and having something representing the point makes it clearer to my opponent when I spend one
wait...I spoke too soon. I think I make that same sort of counter, but build it up like a shrine so that it can both a faith counter and objective marker.
thanks for the idea BortherR

Don't want to hijack the thread, but very quickly:
I went to a large habidashry (not sure of spelling) shop - place that sells all sorts of material and buttons. They had a button that has a fleur-de-lys on it (Scouts uniform buttons I think they were). Clipped the back loop off and stuck to spare bases. Instantly cool faith counters. And they CHEAP. Like, dirt cheap. I bought 20 of them for R10. That's about 1 USD.

even cheapers still, collect all the extra flash pewter from your sisters and maybe any friends that are willing to give you any. get a spoon and a bbq lighter (to not burn ur fingers). find something heavy to clamp down on the spoon so you dont have to hold it. Using the lighter melt the pewter until it pools together. use an xacto knife and scrap off the junk on top, should leave behind a very smooth looking metallic look. the way it cools creates a nice effect as the metal recrystalizes into a noticable pattern. either leave as is or feel free to paint it, either way will be cool.
Caution: Very hot, do not touch until cooled off. If you heat up the spoon too much you will "burn" the metal and give it a golden color before it turns into a bluish purple like an oil spill.
Suffer not the heretic. That's right, I'm looking at you Astartes Librarians.
