Hi, im realitivley new to daemonhunters and one of the rules states that if using grey knights in my army that a daemon force is granted the "sustained attack" special rule, i cant find it in the rule book anywhere and i think its from 4th ed? but is there a 5th ed version of this rule? or does it not apply anymore?
Thanks in advance,
Late 4th and now 5th edition pretty much gutted the DH codex... Between the rules that ceased to exist, rules that ceased to apply, the massive changes brought about by the Marine codex that may or may not apply to DH depending on how you interpret their rather feeble explanations, and the miserable job they did on the FAQ, the poor old DH codex is in a sorry state indeed.
I'm not seeing the rule either, so i'll say it no longer exists.
A quick search onthe 40k wikia says that Susatined attack basically allowed Daemons to return from the owning players table edge as soon as they were destroyed. Since this rule isn't in any rule book it is considered negated.
"Sustained Attack" was that thing that the attackers got in the "Meat Grinder" mission in the 3rd ed rulebook wasnt it?
Effectively at any rate.
The name refers to facial hair, not playing style.Originally Posted by A news vendor's stand, London, June 1940

Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm.
This worked out in our favour though!
Daemonic Instability also disappeared right along with Sustained Attack. The only piece of anti-daemon special rules that still works for the GKs is the 2nd half of Rites of Exorcism. Assaulting Daemons must roll difficult terrain dice to engange GKs in an assault.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.
