The valdor is the newest super heavy tank in the forgeworld catalogue, but is it worth the £68, heres my thoughts.
The Valdor tank hunter has a single sponson mounted heavy bolter and the primary weapon is the Neutron Laser Projecter which has a strenth of 10 and an AP of 2, it also messes up enemy vehicle systems and electronics if hit. FA (13) SA (12) RA (11) and a BS of 3.
And all this adds up to 350 pts, my verdict, a must in large scale standard and apocalypse battles.
let me know what you think

erm... you can't post specific stats like that, even if they're from a free download.. Copyright, see? so, just put THIS LINK so people can see for themselves, is my advice.
And, generally, Forge World tanks cost slightly more points than they're really worth... They're really taken more because they're cool. If you're going for tactical goodness, I'd reccomend more bassies/Russes for more-or-less the same effect, and more versatile.
But, saying that, it is a very cool tank, and in Apocalypse and big games like that, usually coolness is the point.
So, if by "is it worth it" you mean, is it a cost-effective choice in terms of gaming, I'd be inclined to say no. But, in my opinion, if its worth it just for looks and coolness.. well.. only you can really decide that. It's your money, and you're the one that'll have it in the end. Or not.
Though I'd say get it, if you have the cash
Oh, and- Wolf Lord Herby - BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD WOLF!!!!
FABRICATI DIEM, PVNC
it looks good, thats all that matters
My criteria for "is it worth it".
1) If few guns, Destroyer hit
2) If not Destroyer, many guns
3) at least 5" pie plate, preferably 10"
4) cheap, game pointwise
If it doesn't satisfy at least one of the above, I don't even consider it.
I don't know. I'd prefer a normal Destroyer tank hunter. Cheaper, smaller target, and a longer range gun.
One gun for that many points isn't worth it to me and the special rules are more bad than good. An extra crew shaken doesn't really offset that unstable reactor stuff for me.
Also Destroyers look badass.
for about a 100 pts, I'd upgrade for a Shadowsword.
Destroyer, oh yes....
Imperial Guard: 3000 pts
Chaos Daemons: 1000 pts
Stella has hit the nail on the head.
Forgeworld stuff looks cool and generally thats the only reason to buy it. Look at the conqueror. It was pretty much worse than anyhting else you could spend the points on but damn me if it wasnt cool.
It seems a little overpriced pointswise. its simply a long range demo which is far more expensive.
If you like it get it if you dont dont simple really when it is forgeworld!
