Hi guys, been looking for an excel based document to organise and plan my armies on and all the pre-existing ones were very IG unfriendly and didnt like our Platoon system been made up of multiple units, this is my attempt at one i hope some of you find a use for it.
Basically each unit choice comes with Main Unit and Sub Unit options. If its just a normal unit you only have to fill out that space, if it has sub units such as infantry squads you just fill those in and it automatically adds um up. These sub unit spots can be used for transports or anything really. Just use your common sense.
Hope its handy for some1.
Edit: File cleaned up a tiny bit, works best on excel 2007 or later version. Works in older versions but colours are replaced with simpler models and doesnt lok as tidy.

Father Mulcahy: Just as the Lord said to Noah, "Everything in pairs."
Pierce Hawkeye: Of course the Lord was holding three aces at the time.
Just tried it on my laptop which has an older version of excel, lets just say it looks much better on the recent edition Ill polish it up so its the same on both conditions and re-upload it. Suprisingly didnt take that long, just over an hour but i had it all planned in my head before hand. Ill work onit tomorrow. A little late now
This is great, helps a new guy like me a lot.
That looks very useful and well organised, +rep.

awesome. the more of these things there are, the merrier.
i'm always surprised that GW doesn't put out some sort of helper tool like this...
It doesn't seem to be working correctly. All that opens is a supposed 1 pixel by 1 pixel .gif image...
The whole attachment system seems to be down, deleted it an tried to upload it again but to to avail. I will retry later on
overthrow they did put one out called armybuilder or some such but didnt bother updating it so it fell by the wayside. there are a number of different builders around for example wolfslair (think thats the name) does one but tbh an excel sheet sorted like this by fans is probs the best way to go for army specific lists.
