Seriously. What the bollocks is it even in the Wargear section for?
I looked through the entire army list thrice (even the Vehicles section!) and I haven't found a single unit or model - Special characters, Sergeants, or, well, vehicles - carrying one or having the option to be equipped with one.
Then why is it even in the Wargear section? The same could apply to the "Master Crafted" rule, which might as well just be an entry on the one or two pages where a Character is mentioned as having a Master Crafted weapon, but at least some characters have it!
Given what a Signum does, it would make sense for, say, a Devastator or Sternguard Veteran Sergeant to be able to come equipped with it. Or a Techmarine. Yeah, why not prop a Signum on his titanic metal C'thulhu Tentacle Mess(tm) that is the Servo-Harness?
A similar, strange thing is the Auspex. It's not included in this edition's codex, thankfully, but somehow I keep seeing Techmarine Models equipped with one! Namedly, the Thunderfire Cannon gunner. Did they retcon that tiny model into being a remote controller for the Thunderfire Cannon? What? Why was it even taken away in the first place? Don't people play night-fighting anymore, making it redundant?
None of this makes any sense...
While I'm ranting I might as well throw in a complaint about the newly added, massively annoying Google Ads. Growl.
Check the Devastator Sergeant entry... Page 142.
I believe he is right. Pg 142. Might have been cool if they had of mentioned it in the unit description section.
darn beaten to it.
Ah, there it is. Thank you. But my god is that a redundant addition to the Wargear section. It is, essentially, the same as Sergeant Telion's special ability, except with one less WS.
