Gentlemen (and ladies if there be any), crack out your Codcii(plural for codex?) for I have an idea for a game. The challenge is to make the best use of 1000 points from scratch.
1. Armies must be equipped to be able to overcome all sorts of opponents, if not then you must specifiy a particular opponent Army or type you'll most likely send this army to battle with (type=Shooty or CC).
2. You are only allowed 15 Points of "breathing room"
3. Have fun
4. Armies must follow all GW Rules/Regs/Limitations
5. Points listed must follow all Librarium Online Rules and Regulations
Victory Points Earned If:
1. Your Army is exactly 1000 Points
2a. You include at least one type of every unit. (EX: 1 Elite, 1 Fast Attack, 1 Heavy Support)
2b. You include an additional unit on top of the 3. (Ex. 1 Elite, 2 Fast Attack, 1 Heavy Support etc. [EXCEPTION: For Fast Attack, multiples of the same type of vehicle in different squads taken when they can be in 1 squad do not count] Ex. 3 Land Speeders Operating Individually. Same Applies for Attack Bikes. this is obviously void if you have 2 squads of 3 Attack Bikes, or at least 2 Squads of 2. But any 2/1, or 1/1/1 doesn't count if they're the same unit.
3. You include Points Wargear on 3 entries in your list.
4. You do not take Scouts (This does not mean you can't and this doesn't include Scout Bikes)
5. You take full-strength squads. (If you DO choose to take scouts, this does apply to them)
This is purely for fun (I have no interest in a 1000 point in case anyone thinks I'm using you as my mindless Army-List making Servitors) so play if you want, don't if you don't. And this is just list making. You can pick any units and you do not have to limit yourself to things you have. You also do not have to go out and make this list a reality (unless you're fond of it and want to make a 1000 point strike force). It's just list making.
I'll post my list a bit later once one or two have been brought in by somebody else. If not then I'll just let this thread die a slow, lonely death.

Librarian (Gate, Smite)
Tactical Squad 1
1 Sarge, 9 Marines
Tactical Squad 2
1 Sarge, 9 Marines
Terminator Assult Squad
1 Sarge, 4 Terminators
Space Marine Bike Squad
1 Sarge, 2 Bikers
Land Raider Redeemer
-Exactly 1000 Points
-One of every unit
-Multiple Troop Choices (Did you mean for that to count? )
-Full Tactical Squads
I think this is a very fun, and balanced list, I'd take it to any game
Unfortunately Multiple Troop choices do not count as you're supposed to have two. I'm glad to see someone respond! Thanks
I don't quite get it. So the point of this challenge is to compare army lists (i.e. who has the best list)?
Ok...here's my attempt. Gotta warn you though, my "list" is long and harder to beat than yours....
10x Tactical squad
10x Tactical squad
5x Assault Terminators w/TH/SS
2x Attack Bikes
1000 pts exactly

Yeah, it's a List challenge. Make a list from scratch. Something to do to kill the time if you got it.
