Looking through the codex the option for grenadiers sounds appealing since you can have 3 stromtrooper squads as troops and is it possible just to field 6 stromtropper squads as infantry since the other 3 will be elties if so what weapons would be best used.
Yes you can. If you really wanted to go over the top you could get 3 squads through as elites, 3 Grenadier squads, and 3 Inquisitoral squads making a total of 9 squads.
max you can have is 8 squads as 3 elite squads, 3 grenadiers and 2 allied inquisitorial stortroopers.
Personally I make use of 4 squads of grenadiers/storm troopers. All stuck inside a good ol' heavy bolter ladened chimera each. Their main jobs are forward assault units, and depending on the situation. I usually prefer either flamers or plasma guns in those units.
I know I know, alot of people don't prefer flamers with storm-troopers. But I prefer making use of them especially when inside a city-fight event, gotta love that 'ignore cover' rule.
I'll be damned before the soldiers of the Emperor are just left to rot!

"DISS NOT THE EMPEROR'S POINTED STICK, HERETIC!"
If it doesn't work with the Emperor. Then it's been officially Karmooned!!!
