I have about 50 marines who have bayonets attached to their bolters to represent true grit from one of the 4th edition space marine traits. There haven't been any problems with it in casual games, but would this be a problem in stricter tournament rules? I'm going to strip and repaint all of them so if they need to be removed, now would be a good time to do so.
I don't see why not many armies have models with blades attached to their guns, chaos termies, guard, hell even some of my marines do. As long as hey have the bolter and it's only baonets/knives that wont be mistaken for an actual close combat weapon you shouldn't have any problem.
If you're really worried just take 5 seconds to tell your opponent that they're just added to improve the look of your marines and that they have no in game effect.

Yeah, keep 'em on man. I think Bayonets on Bolters looks sweet. Good detail like that is hard to come by, keep 'em on.
