    Command Squad Deep Strike

If I take the Command Squad as an HQ choice, and add support squads to it, can I place the support squads during deployment and deep strike the command squad?

    You can do it.

especially if you're not concerned about leadership.

yes and no. The trick here would be to deep stike the officer into battle, but have another command squad on the field with a vox caster. The junior officer that comes with your infantry platoon would do this quite well if he had honorifica imperialis

Leadership CAN be a concern. It depends on how you deal with the problem.

there are LD bubble proponents, and Vox caster proponents.

then there are those who use Vet Sarges to get Ld8, and those that ignore Ld all together.

I typically will use 1 hidden HQ command squad upgraded to a HSO with a banner and Iron Discipline, and 1 platoon command squad with an honorifica and Iron Discipline. I overlap their Ld bubbles slightly so I can use Iron Disc to stop units from runing. I then use my second platoon command as a Drop troop squad with meltas to deep Strike and kill tanks.

I don't have to use Iron Disc. very often. I use the re-roll from the banner more.
