Other (please specify)
Ok, this is mainly out of curiosity because I want to see what chapter everyone plays. If yours isn't there, go for 'other' and specify in your post what the chapter is.
If you don't know me or couldn't guess from my username subheading and avatar, I play Space Wolves.
Also, I noticed very few similar polls had Red Scorpions or Relictors as a default option. I will be interested to see how many people (if any) actually play them.
EDIT: Forget the username subheading.
BT or SW really. The theme & models look great and the fluff too.
Blood angels, I love assaulting and having assault marine as troop makes me very happy. the death company is grate not as hard as in 3rd but still good, assault dread and death company dread. Its good fun assaulting ork players it get them all confused they stand there and look at you say OK...... I've got furious charge and 4 attacks oh weight on you assaulted me WTF!
I've put Imperial Fists, but I've put this from a fluff not a style point of view, I'm no fan of yellow armor.
I play my own chapter but to get good fluff you've always got to decide who your primogenitor chapter would be, and I always thought it would be great to be descended from the Imperial Fists or the Iron hands. I'm not a massive mechanicum fan, so I'd lean towards the fists. I love proper knightly feel you get from them and their successors.
However I liked the idea I read in an old white dwarf article that the iron hands had a closer relationship with the people of their home-world, more like a medieval lord and his serfs that some rarely seen gods and their followers (I never managed to find reference to this again, if someone knows where I read this let me know ). I also think Manus came across as quite a likable primarch in the heresy books.
Ultamarines all the way.
The first model I ever bought from Games Workshop was the old Dark Angels Captain with the feathered helmet and uncomfortably positioned sword, so I've long had a soft spot for them. Space Wolves are a close second, followed by Raven Guard (I play a raven Guard successor chapter).
I would say Blood Ravens since I am currently starting up an army of them. Dark Angels would be a close second.
"They say the Darkness consumes you. They don't say what happens after It's done."
BA for the fluff and old school cheese. I just love the idea of half-chaos marines and they used to be great to play.
