With all the rumors going around, and the changes that we hope or dread being made to the imperial guard.
Do you think that when the codex comes out May 2nd. That you will be disappointed?
Maybe a rumor you where hoping for turns out to be false, or a unit you liked is being nerfed?
I know that personally all the rumors have me on the edge of my seat, and I'm hoping that I'm not setting myself up for a fall when the codex is released.
I just hope that they find a fix for KP's. Other than that, I don't see how the 'dex could be a disappointment... At least that's the only possible flaw that I will admit myself to think about!
I think it'll turn out great.
On Warseer: Iracundus: "So you might end up with "renegade" Chapters, but more split due to ideology rather than because the big bogeyman of Chaos suddenly makes them all cackling mustache twirling villains."
Will it be as powerful as we hoped? Probably not.
Will it be a weak as we fear? Doubt it.
I think we'll end up like Codex: SM, a solid codex with a couple strong lists, but nothing game breaking (Nob bikerz).
Have faith in the God Emperor Soldiers of the Imperium! for he shall provide!!!
PROUD TO BE IN THE BRITISH ARMY.
~~ Surrender and serve me in life, or die and slave for me in death~~
The only rumour I do not like so far is 16 points for a storm trooper. That is way too much. It is better to use Sisters.
You get 4 guard for every storm trooper! They are not that effective!
Arch Overfiend & Grand Despot
I currently play:
Doom Eagle Space Marines
Hive Fleet Omega Tyranids
Goff Ork Boyz(dead)
Tau of O'me
Inquisitorial Xeno Hunters

'Dark Angel Green' Dark Elves in need of fluff
I'm being increasingly more worried about the horrible rumor that our 1-3 tank/vehicle choices will be true squadrons. that = bad, and would be cause for me to still only take 3 leman russes.(!), (as single choices) and load up on infantry instead.
Squadron rules are horrible!
EDIT : I actually typed in land raider instead of leman russ... damned marines and their corrupting influence!
I don't think them having to be a proper squadron is a flaw..
Whilst MBTs don't work well with squadron rules, squadrons tend to be more for the smaller vehicles, they won't make Russes any worse.. just mean you have the ability to take more. Which is a good thing, no?
FABRICATI DIEM, PVNC
No, I think with the amount of info that has been rumored and 99% confirmed then we all know what to expect so shouldnt be any major surprises/shocks. Much the same as the Marine codex really.
I reckon itll follow the trend as every codex-first few weeks its unbeatable/broken/cheesy etc. until people get used to it and it becomes the same as most other codexes.
Currently play: 4000+ of Black Legion
an AV 14/13 vehicle destroyed by immobilised? firing 3 battlecannons on the same target?
same for the vendettas, taking them for anti tank is good, with 3 twinlinked lascannons, but then you put 3 in a squadron, and you have seriously expensive overkill (9 twinlinked lascannons shooting at the same tank) and again, killed by immo results.
Same for bassies, 3 earthshakers at the same target?
I can forgive it for sentinels, and maybe for hellhounds. but no, I am not a fan of squadron rules. Allow them to fire at seperate targets, THEN I'll think its ok, even with being destroyed by immo results.
So while taking more = yay, I must raise the point that those 6 extra russes/bassies might not do much except use up all my points, and making all 9 die faster.
