Could a catachan army use a valkyrie? im starting a catachan army when the new book comes out, and i really like the look of the valkyrie model. thank you in advance!
Well I am no fluff master by any means, but legally using the new codex, I am inclined to say yes. Same with the current codex, you had to use doctrines to make the cathachans. In the new codex I am not sure how they will do it, but they would hamper their own sales if the made the valk cadian only
But we cant know for sure until the new dex is out (and that is soon!)
You would be able too, looks like all the regiments get treated pretty much the same in the new codex. I can't see any reason why you couldn't have some, (unless it goes against the theme/fluff of your army, but nothing in the rules should stop you.)
sure you can.
at least, i believe you will be able to in the new codex, i just don't see why not. the regiment models you use don't affect what options they'll be able to take in the codex. at the farthest stretch of why not would depend on any special rules/restrictions applied by catachan special characters (but i doubt that).
heck it even makes sense for jungle fighters to use valkyries since the ground terrain would most likely be "too thick" for ground heavy vehicles to operate.
catachans in valkyries makes me think of 'nam movies like Platoon and Apocalypse Now...
thanks for all your help!
