As the title states, which one do you guys think is a better buy for the Assault Squad Sergeant?
Many thanks in advance.
I would definitely say the Thunder Hammer. Only five points more, and you get some tasty effects.
I would argue that it depends on what you're using the assault squad for, but really the extra effects from the hammer mean taking down anything from LR's to C'tan becomes quite simple =)
Would you guys suggest taking a T.Hammer over a P.Fist for all other squads with the option to?
I would say only upgrade the sergeant if you plan on going into CC with him early. Otherwise you will be wasting the points in my opinion.
I use Vulkan so thunder hammers become master crafted.
Quorn! - Protein for the Protein God.
Give him the hammer and if points are tight, just say it is a fist.

I currently play:
Doom Eagle Space Marines
Hive Fleet Omega Tyranids
Goff Ork Boyz(dead)
Tau of O'me
Inquisitorial Xeno Hunters

'Dark Angel Green' Dark Elves in need of fluff
Both make your initiative bottom out, so you may as well take the tank killer. By and large, you want to stack the situation in your favor as best as possible, and a thunder hammer gets the job done better than a power fist on that front.
As a general rule, powerfists are awesome, but THs basically make you Future Thor on crack.
Lool at pont difference. Thunder hammer really. It is better have a thunder hammer here on squad with high mobility than on tactical fist. Its not only against tanks but aganist multiwound creatures (here is the problem with higher ws probably)
I would definetly say a Thunder Hammer. The multi-wound model stun is really only good against Nobz, MC's and other T5+ guys, but enough armies have at least one of those to make it worth while. And those that don't have these units have tanks, so always a good choice.
