Has any one ever tryed making real space marine armor... real meaning wearable... I've seen some pics of some armor on a prop forum but I was wondering if any one here made some.
I'm thinking about making "real" sisters of battle armor shouldn't be too had from the picture I'm going off of. Seems like more leather than anything. (whitchhunters codex Pg. 19)
Just curious ^_^

I know that someone on this forum mentioned they were gonna try to make space marine armor but I can't recall where the post is (it may have been in general discussion) or who proposed it. It was quite a while ago. But in any event I think your idea is much more likely to work out well.

that would be a neat costume marine armor or an excuse for some one to shoot at you with a pellet gun
these guys have made some excellent marine costumes, but unfortunately they are for the warhammer museum in jolly old england.
Tact is for people who give a damn. I'm not one of those people.
nice costumes... the chaos one looks the best ^_^ now they just need to make a fricken movie

However it may look, the sisters armour is just as much ceramite as the marines are. You don't get 3+ save with leather...Originally posted by Zora Blade@Aug 2 2004, 21:25

You don't, you are right, but.... due to how tight fitting they look, it would seem that the sisters would have to get armour made to their exact size. And Zora, make sure to post pictures of the armour if you make it, it'd be cool to see fully wearable 40th millenium armour. Especially if it's made by a member of our very own site. However it may look, the sisters armour is just as much ceramite as the marines are. You don't get 3+ save with leather...
Ravenwing: list made, now just to buy all the stuff on it (why do bikes have to be so expensive?)
I saw an article in the Official X-Box Magazine where a guy started a company that made HALO, MASTER CHIEF armor. I think it was $ 5,000 a suit, cash up front.
It looked great. Maybe if someone came up with the dough he could make a set of Space marine armor.
If 40k was real life im sure the sisters of battle armor wouldnt have curves to attract male gamers with signs that say "Buy and paint me" .. since thats entire purpose of female miniatures heh..
Power armor = power armor = power armor .. Sisters wear the same stuff as marines, just perhaps its looks different because marines have a distinct look but its still all the same armor
what i dont understand is even though sisters armour looks about 1/4 the thickness of marines armour its just as strong?? also any pics of master chiefs armour?
also whats this about some short film, 'inquisitor'???
