    Final Edition of my Apoc List! (Hopefully.)

    Alright, some of you may have seen my previous post about my Custom made formation. I think i'm at a good Final draft, tell me what you think.


    Sons of Sanguinius Apocalypse Formation

    The Chosen - 250pts + Models


    Requires:
    Chapter Master Lutheros Calran
    2+ Space Marine Assault Terminator Squads
    1 Dreadnought (Or any Variant)
    1-2 3+ Man Honour Guard Squad(s). Atleast one squad must have Chapter banner. Must all be equipped with Relic Blades. Must remain with Lutheros Calran at all times.

    Wargear:
    Bane
    Deathbringer
    Armor of Sanguinius
    Shielding of the Righteous
    Frag and Krak Grenades

    Special Rules: Eternal Warrior, Orbital Bombardment, And They Shall Know No Fear, Fearless, Chapter Tactics*

    *Lutheros Calran replaces the Combat Tactics special rule with the Furious Charge special rule. If more then one model has the Chapter Tactics special rule, choose which apply.



    Special Rules:

    The Black Rage: The fury of Sanguinius fills the Marines, driving them into a killing Rage. After defeating an opponent in close combat, the Space Marines succumb to The Black Rage. Roll on the table below.

    Note: Only members of the Formation roll on this table after slaying an enemy unit in Close Combat

    1: Insanity:
    The Squad fully succumbs to Insanity and gains +1 strength until the end of your next turn. However, the squad must now attack themselves. Make armor saves, and remove casualties as normal. If the squad is not in close combat at the end of your turn, repeat the process. This result remains until the squad dies, or the end of the game.

    2: Nothing!: The Marines manage to keep their rage under control, and obtain no additional effects. Roll again for the next enemy your unit kills.

    3-5: Blood Thirst: The Squad thirsts for their enemy's blood, and massacres an additional D6 towards the nearest enemy model. You may roll again for the next enemy your unit kills.

    6: The Black Rage: The Squad gains the 'Preferred Enemy' special rule, the 'Fleet of Foot' special rule, and +1 strength until the end of the game.

    Note: You may only roll on this table once per battle, and once per squad, unless stated otherwise.


    Avenge the Fallen: If Lutheros Calran falls in battle, all members of the formation must move towards the enemy that had slain their leader. They must assault if they are in range. The Squads gain the 'Preferred Enemy' special rule against this squad.

    Note: If the enemy that has slain Lutheros Calran falls before your squads can get to it, your squads must attack the nearest enemy unit.


    Glory before Death:
    When a Squad is reduced to 25% strength or lower, it may call an orbital bombardment onto itself. This orbital strike only scatters one D6, and is unmodified by BS.

    Defend the Master!: All units in this formation have the Feel no Pain special rule as long as they remain within 12" of Lutheros Calran.

    Bane: This is Lutheros Calran's special weapon. It is a one handed sword that confers +2 strength. It is a master crafted Power Weapon. However, this weapon is a Trademark weapon, and when Lutheros falls in combat, all units under your control within 24" of Lutheros must make a leadership test or fallback. This does not include members of this formation.

    Deathbringer: This is the second of Lutheros Calran's special weapons. It is a master crafted Plasma Pistol, which may fire twice. However, it overheats on a 1 or a 2 when firing twice.

    Armor of Sanguinius: This is a suit of Artificer armor worn by Lutheros Calran. It confers a 2+ armor save and +1 Initiative.

    Shielding of the Righteous:
    This is a modified Iron Halo worn by Lutheros Calran. Instead of the normal 4+ Invulnerable for a Iron Halo, this one confers a 3+ Invulnerable save.

    Master of Command: As long as Lutheros is alive, you gain access to any two of the following strategic assets.


    Orbital Bombardment
    Shield Generator
    Bunkers
    Hold at all Costs

    Getting there I think mate.

    Just one thing left that seems a little overpowered.
    A 'Black Rage' result of 6 gives a unit the following perks:

    Furious Charge, Preferred Enemy, Fleet and +1 Strength.
    Thats a whole lot of perks for just one squad giving them a total of >>
    +2S, +1I, Assault after Run and re-rolls to hit in CC.

    Without a special weapon, I dont know of a Marine with S6. Dreadnoughts hit at S6, Marines dont. Even poppa smirf (Calgar), with all the worship GW give him, is still S4 like every other marine. Going psycho on the enemy may get you S5 (furious charge) or surviving the Red Thirst like Meph, but other than that it's really not going to happen.

    What you could do is say, when you roll a 6 on the table, the unit keeps its current stats and gains the rules of the Death Co. so they get Fearless, FnP, Rending hits and needs a chaplain within 6inch or must move as far as it can towards the nearest enemy. At least that way you're sticking with fluff too! =)

    For the Chapter!: Since Magnus is the Second in Command of the Sons of Sanguinius, he has the ability to call in a special Orbital Strike once a game. It follows the following Profile.

    Hate: This is a Master Crafted Crozius Arcanum. It counts as a Power Weapon.
