    Telion's Gun

    I was reading his gun and it says he comes with silenced shells and a targeter. What if anythign do these do ?

    Nothing, they're just there for fluff value (Although I suppose the targetter could be aiding his eagle-eyes and so contributing to his oober-BS)

    It allows the use of the weapon profile on page 88 (Telion's "Forces" entry). The standard bolter profile can still be used.

    I would say the targetter is the fluff for his "Stalker" pattern boltgun's 36" range.

    Likewise, the silenced shells looks to be pretty fluffy for a weapon that pins. Pinning is the effect of some pretty scary shooting, and there's not much scarier than incoming fire that has no obvious point of origin.

    If you don't know where the shots are coming from, it's difficult to return fire.

    Treat the 'targeter and silenced shells' bit as fluff to explain the gun's stats. The weapon profile is all that actually makes any impact on the game.

    If the targeter rules have been dropped with the new edition (I remember they used to let you measure before declaring shots) then I guess it must be fluff.
