I was wondering if there was a new Blood Angels Codex coming out anytime in the near future. I've tried google with no results as of yet. To expand on this, is there a list of supposed release dates for all upcoming codices?
Thank you in advance,
There's been no word for a new Blood Angels codex but it is extremely doubtful. The pdf file on the GW website is one of the newer codices released, and there are many more armies that need the update a lot more drastically; Imperial Guard, Space Wolves, Dark Eldar, Necrons, the Inquisition books, etc.
It's a pretty safe bet that BA players are stuck with the pdf for the foreseeable future.
Regarding other codices in general, check out our Rumours & Previews forum, they'll have the most up to date information there.
BA are kind of nerfed with the pdf dex. I think many people just use their BA models as a normal SM army these days. No foreseeable fix in the near future for BAs.
can I be a writer for your thing? I have chronic fatigue at moment and reading and wrtiting is one of the only things I can really do at the moment :'( (I couldn't ask in the campaign page-didn't let me)
Overcharged engines are really BAs strength in the new edition. The ability to move 18" to score and contest is huge in 66% of the missions. In the other 33% fast Baal Preds means you can move 6" and still fire 12 shots, most of which wound on 2-3 and are ap4.
The problem with most BA players is that they play them like space marines, which is why they are considered less powerful.
Dark angels have a armour 14 land speeder special character don't they?
The current codex is more than capable against any army.
A friend I play on a very regular basis runs a decent BA force which I seriously FAIL against every time. Space Marine, Chaos, Eldar, Tau, Necrons, they all go down pretty well against my army, but Dante and Meph attached to a tooled up Honor Guard may only be a vindicator away from death, but they really are powerful!
