    Leman Russ Eradicator

Does anyone have a pic of one, or can describe what it looks like?

there aren't any pics of the leman russ variants (aside from battle tank and demolisher) in the codex but you can find a slew of choices that have current models off of forgeworld. link below.

    Forge World IMPERIAL GUARD TANKS

edit: also note, that the punisher and eradicator don't have actual models as of yet. (and as i understand it, a new Leman Russ box with all the variants in it is still a ways off). so it's fairly open to interpretation on making your own conversion job for the cannon.

...A blog that's mostly about Infinity, but sometimes other stuff too.

The Eradicator is the one pattern missing from there.

think of it as a standard leman russ with a smaller version of the plasma cannon that the stormblade uses

Actually, that's the executioner you're thinking of with the plasma cannons. The eradicator is basically the pie plate the hammerhead submunition has, but ignores cover.

hmmm, i'd think that one of the russes with an shortened barrel to show how the shot would spread out upon firing or some flame tank conversion would work for making an eradicator.
This is the one new variant so I can't confirm any of the fluff behind it, so i'm not sure what it fires. Also there is no GW where i live and my indep retailer doesn't have a copy of the new dex so I seem like the only one on LO who hasnt read the new codex.

There should be some indication of how it looks in the next codex though.

    Rumor off belloflostsouls.net is

Leman Russ Demolisher: All plastic kit can build a Demolisher, Punisher or Executioner. New turret. New hull weapons, new sponsons, new hull accessories.
I believe that leaves a regular Leman Russ new kit to do Basic, Exterminator, Eradicator or Vanquisher

I always thought the eradicator would look like the conqueror. I guess that will suffice for now.

In the background section of the Codex there is a side-on line drawing for each of the Leman Russ variants, and the Eradicator's weapon has a passing resemblence to the design of the Hellhammer Cannon on that Baneblade variant - it seems to have the same 3-vent "sleeve". In the line drawing, the Eradicator's barrel is almost exactly half the length of a Leman Russ Battle Cannon and is equal in height. Being a side-on view, we don't know what the top-down profile of the barrel might be and if it does indeed splay out horizontally like the Hellhammer Cannon.

    Hope that helps.
