With 40K witch hunters, especially sisters of battle, how many models do you paint at one time? Do you try to paint the whole squad step by step, or just a few all to finished at a time? I'd love to know your approaches, as I want this to be both as enjoyable and as efficient for Sisters as possible since I am starting from nothing
P.S. I'm sorry, as soon as I posted this Librarium Online showed me some similar threads asking this same question. I will perform searches more diligently in the future.

I paint them in groups of 5 or 10. Depends on how I feel at the time.
If you want efficiency do them in 10s
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
I normally do squads at a time, if you work out a system you can production-line them out fairly quickly.
Hello CBrate and Frank Fugger, thank you very much for replying!
I have taken to painting 5 Sisters at a time, any more than that and it all becomes a blur to me, ha ha But it sounds like you two have got the groove of it, and can do more at a time and still enjoy the painting. I aspire to that as well, though I am already painting faster than I can afford to recruit more Sisters.
Many thanks for the input!
May you bask in the radiance of the Emperor and reflect His glory!
depends on what it is im painting and the quality im looknig for. I tend to paint 1 squad or set (say like 8 normal sisters of battle) and 1 character/vehicle at the same time.
i find doing it this way breaks up the monotonousness of doing step by step on just 1 squad and lets my mind brew abit on both tasks. So for example ill do the first bits on the squad then the first bits on the character / vehicle and so on right through to washes and intill there finished.
i dont find it boring painting sisters but i also collect imperial guard and vampire counts. Both of which are a drag. i think the most i did was 30 skeletons at once and they are practicly identical. IG i currently need to get through about 60 guardsmen , but ill break that up with a Leman Russ and a chimera
Wow Manic Demise, you are a multi-tasker! I find painting my Rhino's so different from painting my Sisters, I think I'd get confused trying to do both at one time. I guess I'm the kind that finds mindless repetition relaxing. I once did 40 Tomb King skeleton archers for my Queen Khalida Tomb Kings (Go Queen Khalida!), and being able to do it on auto-pilot let's me listen to music and radio or glance at the television, lol!
I like to paint a squad, then something like a character or a Rhino before doing another squad to break monotony.
Good luck with your Vampires and Imperial Guard Manic! I hope you'll post pics of them, if you do, post a link in this thread for me, will you?
Be well, be blessed!
