(Fifth edition codex question)
Okay. lets say I have conscripts squad (LD 5), and Mr. Al'Rahem (LD 9) within the command radius. Conscripts have to take a leadership check. Do the conscripts use the LD9 of Al'Rahem, or their own crappy leadership?
Command Radius no longer exists, units use their own Ld. The exception is Commissar Lords, who provide their Ld to units within 6".

I beleive that the one of the banner types still allows you the re-roll to the test if you fail though.

Yeah, the Regimental Standard from the Company Command Squad.
RecklessFable's Journey to Mediocrity (Painting an IG army)
I've been addicted to World of Tanks lately and neglecting my IG... But it is so... much... fun!
edit: for other general leadership issues; if you take Kell, the officer of his squad can use his own leadership when issuing orders to other units, instead of using that ordered units leadership. very useful for ordering squads that have low leadership (like conscripts) or any other specialty units (ie, ogryns, penal squads, etc).
GW gives and GW takes away.
We got Orders, we lost Leadership.
We still have a lot of ways to keep our infantry from running.
1. Reg. Standards, we can take two of them, one in each CCS.
2. Commissars in combined infantry squads.
3. Senior Officer Rally Order.
4. Commissar Lord allows near units to use his LD
5. Chenkov gives near units Stubborn (and he can also use the Senior Officer Rally Order)
6. Free Vet Sgts for infantry squads.
Still sucks that we lost Leadership, but we're guard, we'll find a way.
