They aren't worth the point cost of terminators. And what did they get for the massive point increase? They lost a point of strength and gained a point of toughness and an extra attack. They were overpriced already in the last book. Sure they get furious charge, but that's not as good as just a constant 6 strength.
I'd think that they're trying to keep them, they just got new models for apocalypse a bit over a year ago. I agree with you that they shouldn't have gone up in points. Sometimes i think GW just uses enough monkeys in a room filled with type writers...

With the new point cost, grey knights are just far, far better. The ogryns will get more attacks, but the storm bolters are always nice, and 10 knights is 2/3 the points of 10 ogryns. And the knights have a better WS, a better BS, a better strength, a better initiative (although the S is equal if the ogryns get their charge in), and much better armor. They just don't have the sheer durability of ogryns, but then they're scoring units while ogryns are elites.
Also there's the whole "knights are fearless while ogryns have a 50/50 chance of failing" bit.
The ogryn gun IS certainly amazing now, but they're still not built for shooting. And with the knight's BS, they'll get in just as many hits from twice the range with the ability to go through the armor of a lot of units.

GTK will work out better, unless you're facing a unit that has a high number of Powerweapons (daemons).
GTK get ripped up by those types of units, but Ogryns (with their 3W T5) can actually take some punishment.
However, saying that, I would never field them (and not because i'm a human purists). Ogryns are simply not as effective at "bogging" down an assault squad as a 30man unit w/ a commissar.
In addition, that same 30man unit can do a lot more offensive damage before getting tied up in CC. They're also scoring and cheaper.
