I just had an epiphany regarding a blessed weapon. While it's a two handed weapon, in 5th edition, there isn't really any restrictions regarding using that and another close combat weapon (unless the wargear description specifically limits or restricts it). Basically the whole 1-handed/2-handed rules are 4th edition rules that no longer apply in 5th. Now, the only thing that matters are any limitations set forth in a wargear's description. So now, I can take a blessed weapon (as it doesn't have any restrictions) and a bolt pistol and get +1A. How awesome is that!
on page 37 of the rulebook, under the second bullet in the number of attacks section, it says that models get +1 if they have TWO SINGLE HANDED WEAPONS.
As I understand there are only 2 armies with a special rule that overrides this, and it is the true grit rule from the grey knights and space wolves.
Even space marines with relic blades (a 2 handed cc weapon) do not get an extra attack.
Also on page 42 the rulebook states that two-handed cc weapons can't be used with another cc weapon.
(another localization issue on the rule from p.37 though, German rulebook says only cc weapons, not one-handed cc weapons. But at least the rule on p. 42 is right)
