I was looking at the BA FAQ, last night, and was wondering about player's opinions on them.
This FAQ was updated for the 5th edition, but as with the DA, do not have all the opinions.
They look interesting, but I do not if I can go without my "hellfire shells/rounds" addiction.
Well I've grown used to most of it's quirks by now but I do find it slightly irritating that we pay more for certain things in our codex compared to the SM Codex that don't even contribute to Death Company. It'd be nice if we had the same rules for items we both had in common like Storm Shields and Machine Spirit.
However I still like the Rites of Battle rule, and Razorbacks are still a potential since we don't have to have a 10 man tactical Squad to get a special weapon.
Warhammer 40k: Blood Angels, Imperial Guard, Grey Knights, Space Lizards (wolves), Kroot, Witch Hunters, Dark Eldar
Warhammer: Lizardmen, Empire, Vampire Counts, Brettonians, High Elves, Skaven
I keep seeing one similar question... "Are BA competetive on 5th?" well yes, they are. Infact in anything up to 1500points they are devistating! Over 1500points and they struggle a little, but with all those special rules and unique wargear on the special characters ,its easy as pie to make a competetive and effective army, even with lots of the special rules from codex : marines not being included.
I've always found it irritating that items with similar names work differently. They got it right when they did bolt pistol, bolter, heavy bolter. Why couldn't they just make storm shields and deluxe storm shields? One extra word would have saved GW some credibility.
