One box. It's too many, but at least minimize your casualties.
Two boxes. If you're going to bring them at all, bring enough to do some damage.
Two boxes and a squad of penitent engines. Hey, go for broke! Kamikaze, Banzaii! Aieeee!
Dear Librarium Online Witch Hunter community,
Against all good advice and wisdom, I'm afraid I am going to be willful and bring some Sisters Repentia. I know they are a very poor buy in terms of points, but I have always liked crazed fanatics. Empire flagellants, Bretonnian Battle Pilgrims, Dwarf Slayers, how can you resist guilt driven zealots eager to find absolution in battle and death?
So, I must have some Sisters Repentia. The question is how many? I hope to post a poll:
1) Get only one box; if you must waste points, keep it to a minimum
2) Get two boxes, if you're going to bring them at all, at least do it right.
3) Get two boxes, and as many penitent engines and maybe you will actually get some results?
Thank you for advising me in spite of my foolishness.
May the Emperor gift you with cleansing pain, may death give you absolution.
Make sure you buy a couple of cheap transports to move infront of them and block LoS. That way they might get to the otherside of the board (maybe...).
EDIT: WOOOH! 1000th pst!

With the way vehicle squadron rules work penitent engines aren't really worth it unless you can field them in apoc seperately. 2 boxes of repentia.
I voted for #3, but really, go with one box of repentias and 2 penitent engines! A 10-strong repentia unit, I find, is good enough. I think it's better to add a squad or Arco-flagellants rather than add more repentias. As for the PEs, well, they're not that efficient, but boy do they look cool. And against some opponents (orks!), they might actually stump your opponent.
There seems to be much love for the "freak show" units around the forums right now, and I think it's good. I hope GW sees that. Inquisitors, assassins, Arcos, Penitents and repentias got me into WHs years ago. I really dread the rumors of "separated inquisitorial codexes focusing on the chamber militants" spawned by some JJ's comment at a Games Day.
Oh, one nice trick: if playing an IG parent list (Company command squad and 2 vet units) with WH allies, use Creed as your commander and give scout (and thus Outflank) to your Repentias! Nobody expects 18 eviscerator attacks from the side! Just use you Inquisitor and retinue models to represent Creed and his unit. Say the veterans are IST...
2 boxes and a squad of Penitent Engines. If you've got the Priest anyway you might also consider Arcoflagellants... I love them. Nobody else seems to, and to be fair I can understand why, but I love them. If you mostly play friendly games then competetiveness shouldn't be an issue; you're playing to have fun, and what's more fun than a big load of half-naked women running around with chainsaws?
Well, I'd say 2 loads of the gals, but since that unit is brokenly good, it's 0-1!
That has always made me laugh...
"0-1" is there to save people from making terrible mistakes while creating list... You can still take 20 in one unit though I think.
...but that would violate every WYSIWYG convention out there
