I personally Love city fight tables, they just seem so much more fun then those open battle fields with those dinky pockets of trees and hills, where do the other fellow marines enjoy to wage war?
I have seen the Death Company: wild-eyed berserkers, who tear their enemys limb from limb, crush skulls with a single blow, snap spines and rip out organs. The Blood Angels are indeed ancient and terrible and only the foolish do not fear them.
I lov city games where i my men on the ground struggle to see enemies unless they are right beside eachother or the enemy is on a roof somewhere.

Cityfight games have proved to be the most tense and fun games you can play (and it slows tyranids down loads!)
Its the kind of battles you expect to be fighting in the city strewn 41st millenium, and it broke up the standard "shoot anything thats running at you" style I had, you can get a lot closer to nids in those games, with cover ignoring flamers! I love the smell of burning bug...
Also, Dreads rule in these battles, I only ahve one but the entire battle revolved around it (until it was wrecked on turn 5)
For get your Mr T, John Mayer leaks pure awesomeness with every note he plays.
Personally I prefer mostly open fields with clustered terrain. Along the lines of a desert with a ruined building or 2 and a hill.
The reasoning is the terrain doesn't decide the game, but it can help. You list and how you play (ie the match ups you can get) have more of a factor than the buildings. The buildings will be useful though, and if used properly can give someone the upper hand... but not the clear victory.
Meanwhile, city fight tables (although beautiful and a lot of fun) have some clear advantages to smaller, close range shooty armies. This, unfortunately is not what I play. So it ruins the game for the me when the outcome is pretty well decided before I place my units. I can win, it is just stacked against me.
I do not hate city fight boards, I just find terrain in moderation more enjoyable.
I enjoy all terrain types.
unfortunately the bunker that I play at doesn't have any city fight table out to play on but i remember those damned tau stealth suits were the biggest pain, coming out on movement phase from inside a building, shooting, and assault phase they would just jump right back inside lol
