In an Apocalypse game one team had Marneus Calgar in a unit and joined a Lord Commissar to the unit so it can be pretty powerful. Calgar's side decided to fail the morale check and fall back, thinking next turn they'll rally and charge the opponent. So they used Calgar's special rule and failed the morale check. Because of some rule Commissars have because it was Calgar specifically who failed the morale check, the Commissar killed him for the unit to pass the check and not run away.
The Commissar killed Marneus Calgar, the most powerful warrior in the Imperium and is a god amongst men! With a laspistol! What the hell!
Commissars get free bolt pistols now actually.
That'll teach him not to "strategically withdraw" in the face of the enemy. Got what he deserved I say.
I dont even think he shot him. Pistol whipped Calgar into submission!
YOU *clang* WILL *thud* NOT *clang* RETREAT *clunk* ............... Tea bagging ensues.

Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm.
Thats what ol' Marneus gets for not wearing a helmet
Good! No one is above the will of the emperor.

hope that commisar has the balls to pull out the summary execution excuse when he has a whole chapter on his a$$.
marine: i have reports you shot calgar
commie: dont know wacth ya talkin' aboot, maybe an enemy killed him.
marine: but its quite clear that the shell in his head came from your bolter and brother Icarius has a pict feed of the act...
comie: ....... um...er...uuuuh....omg look a heretic!!!
Heretic: hey man, don't drag me into this!

Ha ha. I knew that post would get a few responses. How crazy is that? It teaches those Marine players not to retreat. But still, the Commissar should've known that they weren't guard. You can't just throw away Marines, they're fairly precious! Or maybe he did know that and he was just following his rules and being a dick about it by killing Calgar.
Well, retreating is not on. Marine or not, tactically advisable or not, retreating in the face of the enemies of the Emperor is not allowed and just retribution SHOULD be meted out to those who show cowardice in battle.
No one is above Imperial justice.
More to the point hehehe fantastic.
