Is it just me, or now that Escalation will apply to all missions, will the IG Armored Company will suddenly become invincible? Sure the other side gets to "hide" via night fighting rules, but IG AC can take spotlights for one point each that render that ability useless. At 1850 point you can have almost 10 Leman Russes that don't even come onto the board unless the reserves roll is rolled. Nice way to burn up turns and then charge in and wipe everyone out.

Just pray you're not up against a drop troop army, or Scaeffers last chancers for that matter.

Actually coming late on the table is always a bad thing. My first game with my drop troops army in a 500pts I rolled 4 dice and i rolled two 2 and two 1s. That gave my friend a whole turn to pick apart my sentinal. Second lets say you roll horrible and one tank shows that tank will be gone. So no its not a auto win, chances are its a auto lose.

Coming late to the table isn't always a bad thing, first of all.

Anyway, sentinels can deepstrike, too, and any improved comms you may have in your army (you *do* have them, right? ) allows you to re-roll one reserves roll, even if its not on the table.

And by the way, don't you guys use terrain in your games? If your tank is alone, put it behind a hill, problem solved.

    are you serious?

you think this escalation is good for AC? I would *love* to go up against an AC with escalation. i mean, you do realize people will be able to start the game with all their non mounted troops on the board.. right? so as the tanks slowly come onto the board, i'll be tanking them out one by one. just have a few sentinels with spotlights.

imho, it would be much harder to go up against AC in a normal (non nightfight) situation. first turn 14 pie plates coming at you = bad news!
