I'm mostly a Warhammer Fantasy player. Actually, I haven't played 40k since 2 editions ago. However, I have a lot of Daemonhunter models because they look incredible and I figured if I ever wanted to try 40k again I would want to use them. I know that Daemonhunters are not an easy army to win with, and I'm pretty confused as to how to go about making an effective army list, hopefully using models that I have now. What I have is:
4 Grey Knight Terminators(could use one as a character)
16 Grey Knights(2 Psycannons and 2 Incinerators)
Two Inquisitor models and models converted to represent any possible variation of retinue
40ish Imperial Guardsmen(could be used as Stormtroopers or Inducted Guard, meant to be Guard though I have no idea how to work the Inducted Guard now)
Leman Russ Battle Tank
I'm looking to start with a 1000 point list. I'm really just completely boggled. Does anyone have any ideas that could help me?
Welcome to the ranks of 40k and Deamonhunters
Hmm well, the models you have are a grate solid start for 1000pts. You would need to buy the new IG dex to induct guard but it would run something like this:
2 x Squads of PAGKs with a psycannon in each, need more though in the squads.
2 x Inducted IG platoons with some heavy weapons.
Think thats around 1000. It uses all your models more or less and looks solid to me. Someone else may see something my tired eyes dont
