I am a new Guard player who joined the Guard because of the Steel Legion. But it seems that they were discontinued or something. Does anyone know where the Steel Legion is or where I can find it?
The mini's you are after are all old line figures now, however they are still available for mail order:
Check it out!
And I'm sure there are other ways of getting hold of the things.
Enjoy, and good luck in tracking them down - it's an awesome army, been tempted myself from time to time!
"Pickles, the drummer, doodily doo. (Ding-dong, doodily, doodily, doo.)"
Also, you should google "garfield minus garfield". Awesome.
thanks so much. this really helps.
I got all of my army from ebay.
Search around on the net and you are sure to find some good deals.
It's worth a krak!
I agree that E-bay is your best bet.
If you want some inspiration for steel legion, check out the modelling thread. There is a dude on their called Brother Argos who is modelling an entire steel legion army - pretty much from scratch...
Finally getting round to finshing my Tallarn Imperial Guard Army (2K)
Everything else has been sacrificed on the Altar of eBay...
i like his idea, but i'm not up to converting an entire army. i'll look on ebay and eventually go to the GW site.
About time another steel legion player came on here welcome to LO. Now i was very lucky that i got my army from someone at my game store who frankly now is begging me to sell it to him back lol. Not happening. Your best bet is either Ebay or any local game stores that may have players looking to sell. Now if you need any help putting together a Steel Legion Army list just drop me a private message, more then happy to help.
I have had a Steel Legion IG army since Armageddon (has it really been THAT long?). From time to time I will come across a shop that still has some of the minis in stock. Fortunatley, GW still offers them online.
However, now that the exchange rate for the pound vs. the dollar are so low right now, I am tempted more and more to change over to a Death Korp of Krieg army... since the models are somewhat similar in appearance, I would think they would complement each other nicely.
go to forge world
The "collectors" section of the GW website still has the minis.
I'm "iffy" on ebay when it comes to buying minis. The picture always makes them look good, but when you see them in person, they're crap and alot of work is needed to be usable.
Then again, I just probably have bad luck. Hehe.
