The following tanks have been lost in the shuffle in the new codex:
Leman Russ Conqueror
Thunderer Siege Tank
Destroyer Tank Hunter
Forge world have not updated their rules (that I know of) and the points/rules systems for these puppies are back in Imperial Armour 1 (3rd ed?).
Does anyone have an update or a clue how to incorporate them into the new dex?
IIRC the idea behind the conqueror was a gun that allowed it to move and fire. The "lumbering behemoth" rule means this is not required anyone so I guess thats why the conqueror doesnt appear in the codex
As a replacement you could use either a standard russ or an eradicator
The other 2 are more difficult. In my opinion the thunderer could be either a demolisher without sponsons or a medusa. Destroyer tank hunter, the only thing even close in game terms is the vanquisher.
hope that helps
The thunderer and destroyer rules still work well although their points vanues may be a little high.
The conqueror rules are upset by the lumbering behemoth rule. In the IA1 Book they say the conqueror moves faster than the russ so it could move the full 12" each turn but keep the shooting benefits. Also note that it gets a coaxial storm bolter meaning it can fire very accuratly according to the coax rules in the apocalypse rulebook. This would go some way towards making up for the puny AP4 gun.

Honestly, it's just as well. We've got, what, 15 new vehicles in the new Codex? That's actually too many in my opinion--too many new models all in one go. The Destroyer should be Apocalypse-level, anyway.
