hey guys im building a blood angels army but i REALLY dont want to use green for eye lenses and for the purity seals, any ideas???cheers
BTW my marines are black trim with bleached bone chest eagle
how would red seal be visible against red armour?
My chapter isnt Blood Angles tho, but they are red.
I did my eyes blue, first Mordian blue with a touch up of Ice Blue.. looking good.
The seals was, first astronomican grey, then bleached bone with black "paper".. it will have grey/white scribings
ive done my lenses starting with chaos black, codex grey, skull white.
purity seals ive done black with a grey highlight,.
hm......so im looking at black purity seals.......either blue or black lenses
i see.......ok then anymore thoughts from other ppl? i was thinking myself maybe a bleached bones eye would look quite cool.....?
FOR THE GREAT SANGUINIUS AND THE EMPEROR....red and black all the way.

I've always really liked Ice blue eyes on Blood Angels red, it suits them really well. Amethyst purple is a cool colour for them, too.
Green purity seals are a personal favourite over red armour. Black sounds really interesting, never seen that done before.
I don't have Blood Angels, but my marine's face plate is a bright red orange. I painted the eyes a gold. Basically, I first painted the eye lens in brazen brass. Then, from the inner edge to the center of each lens, I painted it with shining gold. When the layers were dry, I worked in a small dab of water-down brown ink. This toned down the brightness of the gold, and gave some depth.
As for the purity seals, you can make them any color you wish. I would just keep the bone color, of the parchment.
