Well today just after Sly Marbo demo charged 5 tactical marines to death, my friend noticed that his name Marbo is actually Rambo with the R and M switched. I highly doubt this is a coincidence .
Has anyone else noticed this besides me?
"I would listen to Sokhar. The man's a genius. Listen."~Lord Yossanrion"Thanks, Sokhar. There was some legitimately good advice in between the low-grade profanity, blaspheming and veiled insults."~Quick"Well thought, intelligently put, with a hint of sarcastic bastard!"~Diggum's Hammer
Sly--> Sylvester. Marbo--> Rambo. Yeah we all pretty much noticed it. The character is a reference to Stallone as Rambo.

I think GW might be trying to make it less painfully obvious this time around though. I've noticed that there's actually no reference to his first name being "Sly" in the new dex, so if you weren't an old player you would only know him as the mysterious Guardsman Marbo. Still, not exactly subtle.
Of course this brings up the obvious question of when the hell is "Guardsman" Marbo making Sergeant? I mean damn, the guys been around for a while, I'd expect him to at least be a buck sergeant by now. Corporal at least? C'mon GW give the guy something.
Sergeant Lysander made Captain in 1 codex, then apparently turned into a daemon prince or something, because now he is just a beast.

Blais's Paint Studio-Getting broken armies good soft scores since 2009
because he never talks or anything but always completes the mission. He's almost the perfect guardsmen but def not a leader.
Most Notable Achievements:
Killed a Revenant Titan in one shot.
Killed 900 pts worth of Blood Angels in 2 turns while only loosing 4 pts.
I heard he got in trouble for shooting up a bunch of Adeptus Arbites on the planet Oregon or somewhere.
Honestly though I never thought about the name. I thought his special rules sort of gave that away.
Is there anything GW produces that isn't a rip off from something else? I don't think so, even the template for 40K is found in Dune, there is nothing really original about 40K.
