Thanks to some encouraging words from my fellow commanders out there, i've decided on a joint cadian/DKoK force for my guardsmen. The two regements called to fight togeather on an ice world (Why else would the cadian's need ice blue fatigues?) And seeing as i was thinking of useing the DKoK 5th Regement, dark grey great coats, and black armor, the cadians would get black armor too, to tie in the two forces, though do you think that would go good over ice blue? And the other though that came to mind, It would look more unifying for the Cadians to have resperators aswell, as it would seem alittle fool hardy for half the forces to be issued them, yet have the other half breathing in all the (presumable) Toxins saturating the air. This though brings me to my major question, Aside from directly from forgeworld, where can i get my hands on some resperator heads for the cadians?
Oh.. but i dont look so good with all those.. tentaclly things..
The Command Squad box comes with 5 respirators, you'd have to buy 2 Command Squads for every Infantry Squad or trade loads from other players though. I was thinking of making the Rough Rider squad and my merged Infantry Platoon from DKK models myself, with the rest being Cadian. I wans't going to bother trying to tie them together visually though, rather I'd make them stand out from each other since they have nothing in common beyond being assigned to the same battlefields by the Munitorum.
Sounds like a fun army to make - and as Muukip says, you get 5 of the things with each command squad box.
One weird thing is that to use them, I've had to cut of the chin guard on the cadian heads to get them to fit.
That and the fact that I've had to cut the whole hose part off if you don't want the guys to all be looking forward in the same pose, that and the fact that it doesn't look as good attached. Looks awesome without, however!
Something you might want to note, however - I've heard that the forgeworld death korps are actually on a slightly different scale to the cadians. The lasguns are more realistic (as in, slightly smaller), and the Korps are all a little thinner. I could be wrong, however - hopefully someone else can set this straight for you!
Not that it would matter anyway, but just in case!

Also, you should google "garfield minus garfield". Awesome.
