Grey Knight Land Raider
Leman Russ with 3 heavy bolters
Grey Knight Terminaters
i currently run a list of, 2x full grey knight squatds, grand master,LRC and 2 minimum troops choices from guard
so which do you think i should get next
I would get some GKT's to give your GM a retinue. Besides, they look way cool.
That sized list with so little anti tank and only 1 tank to boot? I would definitely say another LR, and then the leman russ.
Hope this helps.
every greyknight army needs NEEDS greknights at least a squad of them IMO
Don't get the Russ. The LR would be good for the extra TL lascannons and the Terminators would give your GM a meatshield to hide behind, but the Russ would be a waste. I voted for Terminators.
I think the best option would definitely be a Dreadnought or two. They are cheap, effective AT power that you really need in that list. However, out of those choices it's a toss-up between Termies and a LR. I'd say if you have to get one from that list get the LR, closely followed by Termies. Do not get the Russ.
Also, in order to legally use the Leman Russ, you need to have 2 Imperial Guard Infantry Platoons.
And to further clarify my original post, I don't understand how anyone in their right mind could be telling him to get anything OTHER then a Land Raider at the given time.
For starters, he only has 1 armoured vehicle. I could understand if he had none, then I would recommend the GKT instead. But he has a tank already. The points required for him to include what he already has can be a bit much for only including 1 tank.
As strong as land raiders are, having only 1 of them in a points game with all that you are bringing can easily spell death very fast for your lonely LRC. I can't stress more then I already am how important it is for you to bring another LR. You face anyone with a moderate to large amount of anti-tank weapons, which is not uncommon, and you'll be lucky to have your 1 lonely tank move further then 12 inches total and then die. You should NEVER only have one armoured vehicle in any list that is 1000+ pts. Always 1+ for each 500pts is about a good standard.
Hope this helps,

I'm not agreeing with you on this one goblin, Theres absolutely nothing wrong with one LRC. And your blowing things out of proportion by almost ridiculing any other opinions.
I understand the Tank Tactic in mutiples, but I think there is soo much more potential to have GKT's in a LRC with a GrandMaster than PA Grey Knights.
The grey Knights will be able to hold tight behind the LRC forming a spearhead, while the imperial guard lay covering fire and AT support in the form of Lascannons or Missile Launchers. A good tank commander will be able to move 24" with the LRC before getting into any form of bother using Smoke Launchers + cover.
You should decide wether you prefer spearhead or dancing around in LR's.
- All anti-tank will be wasted on a brick hard tank.
I might write like a ork but i fight like a poet.
Some one tell me they have ever seen a nightbringer die from a Nemesis Force Weapon.
