Has anybody seen the 1st edition Rogur Trader Imperial Beastmen. Sub-human section has lists for them. I was curious if they could be used in the current rules.
White Dwarf compendium has them also, they have to be led by a human command unit. I think with the Beasts of Chaos bits and Imperial Gaurd plastics
one could build these units easily.
Actually, they can be used in 3rd ed. (and 4th too I suppose)
Use the rules for Kroot mercenaries, maybe with the 'Ork Hybrid' signature evolutionary adaptation for +1 T. The profile fits beastmen perfectly.
The only problem might be that they are a little too good at shooting :)
They are mercenaries and can be allied to IG armies. I don't quite remember but I think you can have 2 troops and one each of the other categories.
Sounds cool. A mate of mine is trying to do something similar but with skaven (warhammer). He's trying to convert a warhammer fantasy Skaven army into a 40k playable army. Don't know how he's planning on doing it though.
If you want to ask him, he's registered here as 'shortass'.
When you finished the Imprial Beastmen, post some pics please.
Mutans fight alongside humans NEVER. Maybe for chaos but NEVER EVER for the Imperium.
[Draws nemesis force weapon]
Never ever,...... except in 1st edition.
