1st edition Rogue Trader has Imperial Beastmen. Could a Radical Inquisitor have these in his retinue? I asked this question in the Imperial Gaurd forum, thats where the original Beastmen would belong. I know it's not be legal but it would be a fun project and would look cool. If your opponent agreed to play with these units in your army it'd be o.k.? right?
If your opponent agrees to it: Of course.
You can always use the models to represent real henchmen, if you like. My own mix of henchmen only includes three models that are standard. The rest are conversions from various older GW models. But they all follow standard rules, and all fall into one of the six types of henchmen, so I can use them in official games.
If your opponent doesnt mind and you wanna do it then theirs no reason why you shouldnt do it.
