Hi everyone, I'm still a relative noob to marines so correct me if I am just not grasping something. I cannot see the point of Vulkan's twin linked flamer bonus. If Flamers always hit, what is the point in making them twin-linked?
Again, any help is appreciated, even I'm just not seeing something obvious.
Thanks in advance

You re-roll wounds I believe.
Twin linked template weapons re-roll to wound(p31 of the rulebook).

Vampire Counts - 1/2/0
Space Marines - 2/0/1
yep, hit automatically, reroll to wound and no cover saves, it won t get much better....
This is why Seraphim are scary.
Autohit, reroll to wound and (with the passing of a simple faith test) the attacks are rending. With the re-rolls you're looking at 1 in 3 hits being an AP1 shot
It's also why having Sisters allies in a Vulkan army is so utterly horrendous; meltas, multimeltas, flamers and heavy flamers are pretty much the only special weapons the Sisters have, and with Vulkan they're all twin-linked. Twin-linked Rending templates are not fun to eat.
I find that melta pistols are more reliable and cheaper on faith anyway, save the points for the battle sister squads with greater firepower.
