This should be posted in the Space Marine Army list section...
As to the list:
I don't fully understand why your friend asked you to make a flamer heavy list because I really can't see where it would be tactically advantageous over other lists. Ah well, having said that it is a pretty good list, my main whine about it is the Assault Squad, I suggest trying to find the points to replace it with a squad of Vanguard Veterans which get the same job done but twice as well. I suggest a pretty basic setup:
5 Vanguard Veterans - Jump Packs - 175
They deliver far more killing power than Assault squads and are far more worth the points you pay for them. To make room for the extra 45 points, you could remove one of the Landspeeders but that would minimize the squad's effectiveness - however, the Vanguard Veterans would tie in quite well with what I'm about to suggest.
Take the Land Raider Redeemer off the Termies. Seriously. It's really not worth it, if you really must have a Land Raider for the Termies then use the other one, there's no point at all in paying an extra 240 points for a dedicated Redeemer. For a start, two Land Raiders is unneccessary, one gets the job done more than well enough. The 240 points you would free up from removing the extra Land Raider would create enough points for the Vanguard Veterans and then another 195 points with which you could do whatever you wanted - maybe you could increase the Vanguard to 6 or 8 men and give the Sergeant a Relic Blade or something like that. Even after that you'd have loads of points to play around with, and continuing with the flamer theme you might want to give all the Landspeeders extra heavy flamers so they have 2 each
Like I said, if you removed the Land Raider Redeemer from the Termies and used the other one that's not a dedicated transport instead you'd free up a huge amount of points which you could play around with all you liked and make your list infinitely better.
Hope that helps.
Obviously not too essential when fighting Guard or Ork, but against anything with more than a bit of metal strapped to their chest it makes all the difference!
You have no anti-tank. Your Ironclads need to be on Drop Pods. If you want extra-crispy action give them 2 heavy flamers (personally, I'd keep the meltagun on them). Break up your landspeeders into 2 squadrons - 2x + 1x - and give them multimeltas. Squadrons really suck.
The LRR's flamestorm cannon does not get twin-linked from Vulkan so you might as well swap one out for a regular LR to help with ranged anti-tank.
