Does anyone here feel it is needed to model a targeter on a justicar? I was thinking you could say it is internal to the helmet but wanted to get some perspective. What would be tourney legal?
If you have modeled targeters, how did you go about it? I've seen several plastic heads with targeting reticles, as well as a backpack for power armor that has some gear up over one of the sides supposedly a targeter... Do you guys bother with modeling these?
I was going to ask about the auspex, but I did manage to find some bitz for them, and they can just be stuck on the justicar's belt.
Easiest way IMO would be to simply paint one eye a different color, the "targeting eye". Say paint one a flat blue, then the other a bright red to signify integrated targeters. Simple enough, obvious enough if contested, and doesn't require any additional mod-ing.
ork loota sprues have targetting reticles.
leave the moderating to the moderators
if pro is the opposite of con, does that mean progress is the opposite of congress?
thanks for the ideas guys. I'm probably going to go with these:
SM Devastator Targeter Backpack Bits
space marine devastator backpacks with targeters. I was already grabbing the auspex's from them anyways. I think these will work out well as, since they're part of the backpack, I can swap them with a reg backpack whenever (whenever as long as I have a bit of superglue around).
Micah your sig is great =)
Tyranids Win / Draw /Lost
Daemon Hunters Win / Draw / Lost
Rule of thumb if the model comes standard with equipment you don't need to show it like chaos marines have ccw, bolter and bolt pistol, though you don't need to show it. Lascannons have a targeter as such and you don't need to put it on the lascannon easy enough to mount on justicars weapon or on back pack etc...
The targeters and auspex are actually war-gear, added to the model. Unfortunately justicars don't come with them standard for their pricey points =/
I do like the look of the backpack targeters on the justicars, but the auspexes are freakin huge. they make my greyknights look like midgets in power armor
