Help! I ordered some Ultramarine shoulder pads from Forge World and I can't figure out how to put them on the models. They LOOK like they should just glue right on top of the existing shoulder, but they don't fit, they're too small. Any advice?
Are the shoulder pads themselves too small or is the recess where it fits to the arm too small?
I've found that with some of the FW stuff I've purchased I had to carefully shave off some of the resin in the recesses and edges to get them to fit properly. The problem with this is the resin can be brittle and the piece could be wrecked so care must be taken. This was the case with my Salamander Rhino doors I bought a few years ago.

If you have already glued on the shoulder pads that came in the terminator box set then they won't fit since the forgeworld versions are substitutes. If thats not the reason then contact forgeworld, they're a reasonable bunch.
Thanks for the replys. I did order the shoulder pads after the models had been built so I'm guessing I erred. Guess I'll have to buy some new Termmies. Woe is me!
For those already built, there's a great little LO guide in the modeling forum about creating your own! It's pretty good; I haven't tried it myself (I was going to but decided that I didn't want them on regular tac marines, just vets and special carries.)
Wraith and DiW make excellent points. If you didn't use too much glue to attach the shoulder pads you may even be able to pop them off with a little care. I did this with my Terminators if I even decide to get the FW ones myself.
If they're on there pretty well just be careful not to damage the the visible parts of the shoulder when the shoulder pad is attached.
